Product Description

The D14-31 is a 14 volt AGM battery in the larger BCI Group 31 case, built for the highest current demands in a modified vehicle. Peak output reaches 5,000 amps, with 1,130 cranking amps and 994 cold cranking amps, so a high-compression engine starts in extreme heat or cold without the system dropping out. The Group 31 footprint is what separates it from a Group 34: 98Ah of capacity and 197 minutes of reserve, roughly double the runtime, which is what a large amplifier rack needs to keep playing between bursts and with the engine off. The 14 volt nominal output keeps supply voltage up under heavy load, and amplifiers produce more power when they are not fighting a sagging system. Absorbent Glass Mat construction is sealed against spills and moisture and handles vibration, so it can be mounted in a trunk, a bed, or a rack instead of only in the engine bay. At 71.65 lb it needs a proper hold-down. Both 580 and M6 terminal hardware are included. Plan for a charging system and accessories rated for 14 volt operation before adding one to a build.

Features

    • Peak Current On Demand

Up to 5,000 max amps with 1,130 cranking amps means the battery keeps up when a big amplifier rack hits a bass note and pulls hard.

    • Nearly Double The Runtime

98Ah and 197 minutes of reserve capacity give a large system far longer engine-off playtime than a Group 34 case can hold.

    • Cold And Hot Starts Covered

994 cold cranking amps and low internal resistance turn over high-compression modified engines in extreme weather at either end.

    • Voltage That Stays Up

The 14 volt nominal output keeps supply voltage high under load, and amplifiers make more power when they are not fighting a sagging system.

    • Mount It Where You Need It

Sealed Absorbent Glass Mat construction resists spills, moisture, and vibration, allowing trunk, bed, or rack mounting with a proper hold-down.
