Product Description

The dbx ZonePRO 1260 covers routing, processing, and control for larger commercial audio systems, with 12 inputs, 6 outputs, and Ethernet control. Inputs include two switchable mic/line channels on Euroblock, eight RCA source inputs, and one S/PDIF digital input, so paging mics, music players, TV feeds, and a digital source can all share the same processor. Six Euroblock outputs feed the amplifiers for six separate zones.

Every input has gain control and EQ. Mic channels add paging-specific processing: gating, de-essing, automatic gain control, compression, and Advanced Feedback Suppression, keeping announcements clear and consistent no matter who picks up the microphone. The routing module handles primary source selection per zone, source ducking so music drops automatically during a page, and priority override for announcements that must be heard.

Outputs carry EQ, bandpass and crossover filters, limiting, and delay for time-aligning distributed speakers across long rooms. The patent-pending AutoWarmth function restores natural low-frequency content at low listening levels, which keeps background music full at quiet volumes.

Control options are broad. Wall panel Zone Controllers give staff source and volume control without exposing system settings. A built-in Real Time Clock runs programmed changes through the day or week. ZonePRO Designer software handles configuration and monitoring through a setup wizard, and RS-232 connects the unit to a larger control system. Ethernet is the difference-maker here: the 1260 works with standard network equipment and can be reached from a remote location or a wireless access point, so a service call does not always require a site visit.

Dynamic range measures above 110 dB A-weighted. The 1U chassis weighs 6.8 lb.

Features

    • Six Zones From One Unit

Twelve inputs and six Euroblock outputs give each area its own source, level, EQ, limiting, and delay, all managed from a single rack space.

    • Service It From Anywhere

Ethernet control works with standard network gear and reaches the unit from a remote connection or wireless access point, so many adjustments happen without a site visit.

    • Clear Paging Every Time

Mic channels apply gating, de-essing, automatic gain control, compression, and feedback suppression, so announcements stay intelligible regardless of mic technique.

    • Music Yields to Announcements

Source ducking and priority override lower background music when a page begins and restore it afterward, with no action needed from staff.

    • Full Sound at Low Volume

The patent-pending AutoWarmth function restores natural low-frequency content at quiet levels, keeping background music warm rather than thin during service hours.
