Product Description

The JBL EON718S is a self-powered 18-inch subwoofer that extends a portable PA down to 31 Hz. A custom 718G woofer with a 3-inch voice coil runs on 1,500W peak amplification and produces 131 dB max SPL, giving DJ sets, playback tracks and live bands the low end that full-range tops cannot reach on their own.

The back panel carries a 2-channel digital mixer with two XLR combo inputs and two XLR loop-outs to feed your tops. Selectable 80, 100 and 120 Hz crossover points set the handoff to the full-range cabinets, and the dbx DSP package adds parametric EQ, polarity inversion and speaker delay. Settings are reachable from the backlit color LCD or the JBL Pro Connect app.

An M20 threaded pole cup on top mounts a full-range speaker directly above the sub, and cabinets stack for cardioid arrays that push bass forward and reduce it on stage. That makes it straightforward to scale from one sub for a small room to a pair or more for larger events.

The enclosure is 18 mm birch plywood with a DuraFlex finish, a 16-gauge perforated steel grille and two ergonomic handles, weighing 81.5 lb. Every unit clears JBL 100-hour power testing.
