Clarett+ 4Pre

Clarett+ 4Pre is an 18-in/8-out USB-C audio interface for Mac and PC, sized for sessions with more than one person in the room. Four Clarett+ mic preamps carry a 57 dB gain range, 118 dB of dynamic range and -129 dBu EIN noise, enough headroom to track a vocal, a pair of overheads and an acoustic guitar at once. All-Analogue Air switches input impedance to 2.2 kOhm and adds a 4 dB high-frequency shelf per channel, borrowing the character of the Focusrite ISA 110. Two JFET Hi-Z inputs copy a guitar amp input stage, keeping pickup character intact when you record direct. Independent A-D and D-A converters run at up to 24-bit/192 kHz with 124 dB of dynamic range on the line outputs and THD+N as low as -110 dB, so playback stays honest while you balance a mix. Two headphone outputs hold a flat response at any level, letting an engineer and a performer run separate foldback mixes. An ADAT optical input adds eight more channels for an eight-channel preamp expander, bringing the total to 18 inputs for drum kit and band tracking. Four analogue outputs feed two monitor pairs or outboard hardware, and MIDI in and out ties synths and controllers into the same setup. Focusrite Control manages routing and monitor mixes from a computer or iOS device. Focusrite backs the hardware with a three-year warranty.
