SCARLETT 18I20 4G 4th Gen 24-bit 192 kHz Audio Recording Interface + Mic

This bundle pairs the Scarlett 18i20 with a Rockville RCM SR condenser microphone, giving a project studio the input count to grow into and a mic ready to plug in immediately. The 18i20 provides 18 inputs and 20 outputs, eight 4th-generation mic preamps at 69dB of gain, and 24-bit, 192kHz converters delivering 122dB of dynamic range, so the RCM SR's signal has plenty of headroom to work with.

The RCM SR uses a 25mm cartridge and Samsung capacitors for stable, natural-sounding recordings with strong bass, mid, and high detail, and its cardioid polar pattern reduces pickup from the sides and rear to keep room noise out of the take. A metal shock mount and large pop filter ship with the mic to control handling noise and plosives. On the interface, Auto Gain sets a usable level in seconds and Clip Safe checks levels up to 96,000 times a second so a hot signal doesn't ruin a recording. Air mode is available for adding console-style presence to vocals, and included software, Ableton Live Lite, a three-month Pro Tools Artist subscription, and a mixing plugin bundle, rounds out the path from tracking to a finished mix.
