BE40-1500.2D

The Hifonics BE40-1500.2D is a two-channel BRUTUS ELITE amplifier released for the brand's 40th anniversary, with a bass enhancer processor built into the chassis. Power is stated in true RMS at 1% THD: 750W x 2 at 2 ohms, 450W x 2 at 4 ohms, and 1500W x 1 bridged at 4 ohms, so it can run a pair of subwoofers in stereo or a single subwoofer bridged.

The onboard bass enhancer restores low-frequency content and adjusts bass width and sweep before the signal reaches the output stage, which gives deeper, more controlled lows from compressed source material. The included dual concentric wired remote puts bass level and output level on one knob within reach of the seat, with a clip indicator that shows when the amplifier is being pushed past clean output.

Tuning covers a variable high-pass from 15Hz to 250Hz, a variable low-pass from 50Hz to 250Hz, a built-in parametric EQ, and 0 to 9dB bass boost at 45Hz. Input sensitivity spans 0.2V to 12V on the low-level inputs and 0.35V to 21V on the high-level inputs for factory system integration. Rated performance is under 0.01% THD, better than 100dB signal-to-noise, and 15Hz to 28kHz response.

Connections are sized for the output: 0 gauge power and ground, 12 gauge speaker terminals, and a 150A external fuse. Auto turn-on with DC signal sense removes the remote wire, LED indicators report power, overload, short, and clip status, and a full RGB lighting system with multiple colors and modes finishes the anniversary design.
