Pair Hifonics HCC46CX 4x6" 75 Watt 2-Way Coaxial Car Stereo Speakers

The Hifonics HCC46CX is a pair of 4x6-inch two-way coaxial speakers from the COLOSSUS Classic line, cut for the oval factory openings common in truck dashes and rear decks. Each speaker handles 40W RMS and 75W peak, and 88dB sensitivity keeps them usable on factory head unit power.

A 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter at the center of the cone sharpens the top end and keeps detail present over road and wind noise. The lightweight blue woven fiber cone reacts quickly through the midrange, and a butyl rubber surround adds mid-bass output while holding up to cabin heat. A passive Butterworth crossover at 6kHz with a 12dB slope keeps the transition between the two elements clean.

A pure copper voice coil on a Kapton former dissipates heat, an epoxy-infused natural fiber spider keeps the cone centered under power, and the over-coil cooling system exchanges air across the coil through the spider. A ferrite magnet keeps the motor compact enough for factory pockets, and an anti-resonant stamped steel basket keeps frame flex and ringing out of the sound.

Mounting uses a 5.5in x 3.84in cut-out with a 5.94in x 3.84in outside diameter and 3.0in of depth. Frequency response runs 80Hz to 20kHz. Grilles are not supplied, since these normally install behind a factory panel or dash cover. The pair weighs 2.65 lb.
