This bundle pairs a set of Hifonics Colossus Classic 4x6-inch coaxial speakers with a Metra 72-1002 wiring harness built for 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ models, covering the electrical connection needed for a direct swap since the YJ's factory dash already accepts a standard 4x6-inch speaker without a mounting adapter. The speakers pair a 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter for sharp highs with a lightweight blue woven fiber cone and a butyl rubber surround for deeper mid-bass, held rigid by an anti-resonant stamped steel basket that resists flex at higher volumes. A pure copper voice coil on a Kapton former manages heat during extended listening, and the passive Butterworth crossover splits the signal between tweeter and woofer without external hardware. Rated for 40 watts RMS and 75 watts peak, they run comfortably off the factory head unit in this Jeep with headroom for an amplifier later. The Metra 72-1002 harness uses the factory 2-pin flat connector found on this generation of Jeep, Dodge, and Cherokee vehicles, so the new speakers connect without cutting into the original wiring, and one harness kit is needed per pair of speakers installed.
