ZS4CX

The Hifonics ZS4CX is a pair of 4 inch 2-way coaxial speakers for factory dash, door, and pillar locations. Each speaker handles 30W RMS and 175W peak, for 60W RMS and 350W peak per pair, at 4 ohms, which keeps them compatible with head unit power and small amplifier channels alike.

Response spans 55Hz to 19kHz with 88 dB sensitivity. For a 4 inch driver that low end figure is the notable part: paired with a rubber surround and an alpha-cellulose cone, these hold onto midbass that most small factory speakers lose entirely.

The 1 inch neo-Mylar soft dome tweeter handles the top end and crosses at 6kHz through a passive Butterworth network at 12dB per octave. A pure copper voice coil on a Kapton former dissipates heat, an epoxy infused natural fiber spider keeps travel controlled, and overcoil cooling exchanges air across the coil through the spider during extended play.

An anti-resonant stamped steel basket keeps flex and ringing out of the output, and a ferrite motor keeps the magnet compact enough for shallow factory pockets. Mounting cutout is 3.69 in with an outside diameter of 5.39 in and 3 in of depth, so verify clearance behind the panel before installation. Spade connectors or direct solder complete the wiring. No grills are included; these are typically mounted behind a factory panel or dash cover that already provides protection.
