The JBL 104-BTW is a compact powered reference monitor pair built for desks where space is tight and accuracy still matters. A coaxial driver mates a 4.5 in (118 mm) woofer to a 0.75 in (19 mm) soft-dome tweeter on a single axis, so the stereo image stays stable and the usable listening area stays wide even when you shift in your chair. A built-in 60 W Class D amplifier splits 30 W to each cabinet, and the ported ABS enclosure is tuned for 88 Hz to 20 kHz response at -3 dB with usable output down to 60 Hz.

Connectivity covers a whole desk in one box. Bluetooth 5.0 handles wireless playback from a phone or laptop, 1/4 in TRS balanced inputs take an audio interface, RCA connects a turntable preamp or console, and a 1/8 in aux jack covers everything else. A front-panel selector switches between sources or sums all of them at once, which helps when you need to hear a session and a reference track back to back. Volume and a 1/8 in headphone jack with automatic speaker mute sit on the front panel as well.

One cabinet carries the amplification and all controls and feeds the second through a 2 m two-conductor cable, so wiring stays minimal.
