JRX215 15" Two-Way Passive PA Speakers, Pair

Two JBL JRX215 passive PA speakers give a mobile DJ, band, or small venue a full 2,000 watt two-way sound reinforcement system built around JBL's touring-grade components at a passive price point. Each cabinet pairs a 15 inch low-frequency driver with a 2.5 inch edge-wound ribbon voice coil to a JBL 2414H-C compression driver mounted on a Progressive Transition waveguide, delivering a 129 dB maximum SPL that fills a room without an amplifier working overtime. An advanced network topology crossover with high-voltage capacitors and heavy-gauge wire keeps the handoff between drivers clean at any volume, while SonicGuard protection shields the high-frequency driver from damage without any audible compression. The 19mm MDF enclosure and 18-gauge perforated steel grille are built to survive being loaded in and out of a van night after night, and non-resonant steel handles make that job easier on the crew. A dual-angle 36mm pole-mount socket lets each speaker tilt 10 degrees for downward-angled monitor use or sit straight up as a main PA cabinet. Since these are passive speakers, they need a separate power amplifier rated between 250W and 500W per channel into 8 ohms, giving a DJ or band the freedom to pair them with whatever amp fits their rig and budget.
