JBL AC16 6" 640 Watt 2-Way 16 Ohm Passive Wall Mount Speaker in Black

The JBL AC16 is an ultra-compact two-way passive loudspeaker from the AE Compact family, built for installs where the box has to disappear but the output cannot. A 165 mm (6.5 in) low-frequency transducer handles body and midrange while a 1 in exit compression driver on a 90 x 90 degree Progressive Transition waveguide carries the highs with tight pattern control, so coverage stays even across a seating area instead of beaming down the center aisle.

Power handling is 250 W AES, rated 160 W continuous, 320 W program, and 640 W peak under IEC testing, into a 16 ohm nominal load. That impedance matters in practice: multiple AC16 cabinets can be paralleled on a single amplifier channel and still present a safe load, which cuts amplifier count in multi-zone rooms. Sensitivity is 90 dB and maximum SPL reaches 110 dB at 1 m, with frequency response of 65 Hz to 18 kHz at plus or minus 3 dB.

The cabinet is 12 mm and 15 mm exterior-grade multi-ply hardwood plywood in a black finish, measuring 15.0 x 7.8 x 8.9 in and weighing 15.8 lb each. Dual Neutrik NL4 connectors plus a screw terminal allow loop-through wiring between cabinets. Five M8 suspension points and four rear M6 points accept an optional U-bracket, third-party OmniMount type hardware, or a stand adapter.
