This pair of JBL Control 60PS/T pendant subwoofers adds low-frequency weight to hanging speaker systems in rooms with open architecture ceilings, where an in-ceiling subwoofer has nowhere to go. Each cabinet houses a 200 mm (8 in) long-excursion driver with a butyl rubber surround for well-damped, tight bass and a polypropylene-coated cone that resists humidity in kitchens, gyms, and outdoor-adjacent spaces.

A high-temperature 50 mm (2 in) voice coil on a low-mass fiberglass former keeps transient response quick and stays stable through long high-duty-cycle days, which is the actual operating condition in a restaurant or health club running audio twelve hours straight. Power handling is 150 W continuous pink noise and 300 W continuous program over 100 hours, with 88 dB sensitivity producing 107 dB average and 113 dB peak SPL at 1 m. Frequency range runs 42 Hz to 350 Hz.

Each subwoofer includes a built-in passive crossover feeding up to four satellite speakers, with high-passed outputs on Sat 1 through Sat 4 terminals, so one hanging point handles bass and distribution together. Six removable locking 2-pin euro-block connectors cover input, loop out, and four satellite runs. Operation is 8 ohm at 150 W or 70V/100V at 100 W with a rotary tap selector at 110W, 55W, 30W, and 15W at 70V.

Two suspension cable systems ship with each unit, each with 4.5 m (15 ft) of galvanized steel cable rated 99 lb and Gripple adjustable fasteners for infinite height adjustment. The high-impact polystyrene cabinet is IP44 splash rated, paintable, and finished in black. Each measures 13.1 in diameter by 13.6 in high and weighs 16.7 lb.
