Product Description

The JBL CBT 1000 is a wall-mounted line array column built to cover a full room from a single point. Twenty-four 1 in soft-dome tweeters and six 6.5 in high-excursion woofers sit coaxially in a 40.2 in cabinet, reaching from below 45 Hz to 20 kHz so music and speech both land with weight.

Constant Beamwidth Technology holds directivity steady up to the highest frequencies and cuts the out-of-coverage lobing typical of straight column speakers. Vertical coverage is set with switches on the cabinet: four pattern-up angles and four pattern-down angles give sixteen combinations, none of which require outboard DSP. Asymmetrical aiming sends more energy to the far end of the room, so front-row and back-row levels stay close.

The tapered horizontal waveguide varies dispersion down the column: 100 degrees from the long-throw top section, 130 degrees through the middle, and 160 degrees at the short-throw bottom. Front and rear corners get covered instead of missed.

Power handling is 1500 W (6000 W peak) at 4 ohms, with 131 dB continuous and 137 dB peak SPL at the highest directivity setting. A voicing switch flips between flat music response and a mid-range presence lift for speech, which matters in worship spaces and lecture halls that host both.

The fiberglass-reinforced ABS cabinet and powder-coated aluminum grille carry an IP-55 rating with the optional MTC-PC2 cover and pass 200 hours of ASTM G85 acid-air and salt-spray testing, so covered outdoor installs are on the table. Fourteen M8 inserts on the back panel plus four on each end cap work with the included two-piece swivel and tilt bracket, eyebolts, or third-party hardware.

Features

    • One Column Covers The Room

Constant Beamwidth Technology holds directivity to the highest frequencies, letting a single cabinet cover a room at high SPL with very little over-splash.

    • Sixteen Patterns, No Outboard DSP

Four pattern-up and four pattern-down switch settings combine into sixteen vertical coverage options, so you match room geometry using the cabinet alone.

    • Even Levels Front To Back

Asymmetrical vertical coverage pushes more energy toward the far end of the room, keeping levels close between the first row and the back wall.

    • Music And Speech In One Box

A voicing switch selects flat response for music or a mid-range presence peak for speech, which suits rooms that run both programs daily.

    • Built For Harsh Air

The fiberglass-reinforced ABS cabinet and aluminum grille hit IP-55 with the optional MTC-PC2 cover and survive 200 hours of ASTM G85 salt-spray testing.
