Product Description

The JBL CBT 1000E is the low-frequency extension built specifically for the CBT 1000 line array column. Six 6.5 in high-excursion woofers and a purpose-designed crossover network turn the pair into a taller array with deeper bass, longer pattern control, and higher output than the CBT 1000 delivers on its own.

The extension attaches directly above or below the array using the included coupler plate and mounting hardware, so the two cabinets read as one continuous column on the wall. Combined, the system doubles power handling and extends pattern control further down in frequency, which keeps low-mid energy from spraying into ceilings and side walls in tall rooms.

Each driver uses a neodymium motor with a 2 in voice coil for high flux in a compact frame. Copper pole tips reduce flux modulation and hold distortion down at level, and the magnetic structure is shielded. The 0.62 in long coil supports 1500 W of power handling with linear excursion, so the extension keeps composure during sustained program material rather than compressing early.

Build quality matches the outdoor intent of the CBT platform. Cones are sealed paper with damped blended surrounds, coated for moisture, UV, and salt resistance. The cabinet is fiberglass-reinforced ABS and the heavy-duty aluminum grille will not rust, so exterior and semi-exterior installs stay serviceable for years.

This is an extension cabinet, not a standalone speaker. It is designed to run with a CBT 1000 array, which is sold separately. Typical pairings are auditoriums, gymnasiums, houses of worship, and transit spaces where the array needs more reach and more low end than a single column provides.

Features

    • Doubles The Array's Power Handling

Adding six more 6.5 in woofers takes the combined CBT 1000 system to double the power handling of the array cabinet alone, with more headroom at level.

    • Deeper Bass Without A Subwoofer

Six high-excursion low-frequency drivers extend the system's bottom end, adding weight to music program in rooms where floor space rules out a sub.

    • Longer Pattern Control

Extending the array's physical length pushes directivity control lower in frequency, keeping low-mid energy off ceilings and side walls in tall rooms.

    • Bolt-On Installation

The included coupler plate and mounting hardware join the extension to the CBT 1000 so the two cabinets mount as one continuous column on the wall.

    • Outdoor-Capable Construction

Coated cones, a fiberglass-reinforced ABS cabinet, and a rust-free aluminum grille handle moisture, UV, and salt air in covered exterior installations.
