The JBL Control 126WT is a two-way in-wall speaker with a built-in 70V transformer for rooms where the audio needs to perform but the hardware needs to disappear. A 165 mm (6.5 in) polymer-coated aluminum-cone woofer with a butyl rubber surround handles the low end, and a 25 mm (1 in) pure-titanium dome tweeter sits on a low-diffraction swivel mount with 10 degrees of aim, so you can point the highs toward the listening position even when the cutout location is fixed by studs.

Bandwidth runs 38 Hz to 20 kHz, wide enough that this pair works as a main system rather than background fill. Coverage is 180 degrees horizontal by 160 degrees vertical, so a pair fills a boardroom, reception area, or restaurant dining room without hot spots directly under each unit. A high-slope third-order crossover keeps the midrange natural through the handoff between drivers.

Power handling is 50 W continuous pink noise, 100 W continuous program, and 200 W peak at 8 ohms, with 88 dB sensitivity. The built-in transformer adds 70V taps at 30 W, 15 W, 7.5 W, and 3.7 W, so a long run of speakers ties into a single distributed amplifier with thin wire and predictable level setting per zone.

Installation is straightforward. Each speaker measures 11 x 8.5 x 4.1 in overall and sits 3.8 in behind the wall face, fitting a 9.7 x 7.2 in cutout in walls up to 1.25 in thick. A cutout template and paint shield come in the box, and the screw-down Euroblock connector accepts wire up to 14 AWG. Optimum air cavity behind the baffle is 20 to 40 liters. For new construction, the optional WB6 rough-in frame mounts to studs before drywall goes up.
