The JBL Control 416C/T is a two-way coaxial ceiling loudspeaker featuring a 6.5 in paper-cone woofer and 0.75 in soft-dome tweeter, plus an integrated enclosure that fits most ceiling plenum spaces. This pair suits restaurants, bars, cafes, offices, and retail floors where the ceiling has to carry both background music and paging.

Coverage is 120 degrees conical, which spreads sound evenly across the floor below and lets a layout use fewer speakers to reach the whole room.

Frequency range is 61 Hz - 20 kHz with 75 W (300 W peak) continuous pink noise handling over two hours and 50 W (200 W peak) over 100 hours, reaching 108 dB continuous pink noise, 114 dB peak. Sensitivity is 89 dB and coverage is 120 degrees conical.

Wiring works either way. The built-in multi-tap transformer offers 70V taps at 30 W, 15 W, 7.5 W, 3.8 W (100V: 30 W, 15 W, 7.5 W), or connect directly at 8 ohms for a low-impedance amplifier.

The terminal cover gives both top and side cable entry, so conduit routing does not dictate speaker placement. The captive dogear design works across a wide range of ceiling thicknesses and holds position during tightening. Cutout size is 223 mm (8.8 in).

The full-face magnetic grille takes paint, so the speakers disappear into any ceiling color. Safety tethers mount directly into the baffle. Optional black round and white square grilles are available.

Rated IP33 per EN/IEC 60529 and listed for air handling spaces per UL 2043 and UL 1480A. Each speaker weighs 8.27 lb and measures 9.3 in H by 10.4 in in diameter.
