The JBL Control 426LP is a two-way coaxial ceiling loudspeaker for rooms where plenum depth is tight. Its enclosure measures under 100 mm deep, dropping just 3.9 in above the tile line, so it fits ceilings that cannot take a full-depth back can. A 165 mm (6.5 in) woofer and 25 mm (1 in) textile soft-dome tweeter sit on the same axis, and CRBI technology spreads 110 degrees of even conical coverage that closely matches the sound of the deeper Control 426C/T, letting you mix both models in one building. Power capacity is 110 W with 440 W peaks, and sensitivity of 89 dB keeps output high even at lower transformer taps. The built-in multi-tap transformer covers 70V and 100V distributed lines at 60 W, 30 W, 15 W and 7.5 W, with a 12-ohm direct input for low-impedance runs. Terminal covers provide top and side cable entry and secure with captive hand-screws, no tools required, and the captive dogears grip a wide range of ceiling thicknesses. The full-face magnetic grille sits flush, accepts paint, and includes a safety tether mounted to the baffle. Optional black round and white square grilles are available. Rated IP33 and listed for air-handling spaces per UL2043, the pair works in retail shops, cafes, corridors, hotel rooms, offices and renovated spaces with shallow ceilings.
