JBL CONTROL 88M 8" Commercial 70v Outdoor Inground/On ground Landscape Speaker

The JBL Control 88M is a two-way coaxial mushroom landscape speaker built for larger outdoor areas. A 200 mm (8 in) polypropylene woofer and 25 mm PEI dome tweeter cover 47 Hz to 16 kHz with 360-degree horizontal dispersion, so music holds up outdoors where there are no walls to reinforce the low end. It handles 120 W of pink noise (240 W program) at 8 ohms and reaches 108 dB maximum SPL, with a built-in 60 W multi-tap transformer for 70V and 100V distributed systems. That combination lets you cover wide plazas and pool decks with fewer units than a smaller landscape speaker would need. The unit mounts on or in the ground, and the LDPE polyethylene enclosure with 6 mm walls resists mowers, trimmers and weather. Color extends through the material, so scratches stay invisible. An IP-56 rating covers dust and water jets, the housing exceeds Mil Spec 810 for humidity, salt spray, temperature and UV, and the grille is powder-coated stainless steel. A fully isolated center chamber and two-stage gland nuts protect the wiring from water. Finished in Hunter Green RAL6018 at 20.7 x 14 x 14 in, it sits naturally in landscaping.
