This package pairs the JBL CSA 140Z 40W Commercial 70V Amplifier with 4 Rockville DCS6T 6.5" 70V Drop Ceiling Tile Speaker speakers, giving offices with standard 2' x 1' drop ceiling grids a complete 70V sound system without sourcing amp and speakers separately. The JBL CSA 140Z anchors the system with a single 40W channel built on Crown's DriveCore technology, which replaces hundreds of discrete parts with one chip to cut down on points of failure while keeping the sound clean. Built-in 70V and 100V operation lets it power a distributed system straight out of the box, and a universal power supply accepts 100 to 240 VAC so it works on nearly any electrical service. The fanless 1U rack design stays quiet enough for a dining room, and a sleep mode disable function keeps the amp always ready for paging or background music. The package also includes the 4 Rockville DCS6T tile speakers, sized for standard 2-foot by 1-foot drop ceiling grids common in offices. Like its larger sibling, installation is a straight tile swap, and a rear tap selector switches between 10W, 5W, 2.5W, and 1.5W on the 70V line or 8-ohm operation. The tuning favors clear speech for announcements as much as background music. Because both pieces are matched for 70V operation, wiring the 4 speakers to the amplifier is a matter of running positive and negative leads with no impedance math, and the amp's power still has headroom for expanding the zone later.
