CSA 280Z 2x80W Commercial 70V Amplifier

The JBL CSA 280Z is a two-channel commercial amplifier built to power background music and paging systems in restaurants, bars, and cafes without taking up more than a single rack unit. Each of the two channels puts out 80 watts, and Crown’s DriveCore technology condenses what would normally be hundreds of components into a single chip, cutting part count and improving long-term reliability. The amplifier supports both 70V and 100V distributed audio installs right out of the box, so it works for a handful of ceiling speakers or a longer run across a larger dining room.

A universal power supply accepts AC voltages from 100 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 Hz, making the amplifier usable across different electrical setups without a separate transformer. The fanless, convection-cooled design keeps operation silent, which matters in a dining room or behind a bar where fan noise would be noticeable. Illuminated control rings around the knobs make settings easy to read in low light, and a built-in RJ45 connector supports an optional JBL CSR-V wall volume controller for adjusting sound from the dining floor instead of the equipment closet. Energy Star certification and a sleep mode that disables when not needed round out an amplifier built for long, low-maintenance service.
