CSMA240 + CSS8004 12-Pack

The JBL CSMA240 8-input mixer-amplifier and 12 JBL CSS8004 4" ceiling speakers give restaurants, bars, and cafes an easy way to wire a full room of background music and paging from one rack unit. The amplifier mixes up to 8 sources down to 2 outputs at 40W per channel, and a Hi-Z switch brings in the built-in transformer for direct 70V or 100V speaker wiring, so no separate step-up transformer is needed. Voice-activated ducking and priority muting on channels 1 and 5 let a page cut through background music automatically, and a sleep mode powers the unit down after about 30 minutes of silence.

Each CSS8004 speaker uses a 100mm dual-cone driver with 90dB sensitivity, so it stays clear and audible even at low tap settings, which matters when you are running 12 of them off a single amplifier. A rear tap switch selects between 0.7W and 5W depending on whether the line is wired for 25V, 70V, or 100V, giving you fine control over how loud each speaker plays relative to the others. Wide, 175-degree coverage means fewer speakers are needed to fill a given ceiling area, and the compact 5" cutout keeps ceiling tile damage to a minimum during installation. With 12 speakers included, this bundle is sized to cover a mid-size to large dining room, retail floor, or open office straight out of the box.
