CSMA240 + CSS8004 8-Pack

This package pairs the JBL CSMA240 commercial mixer/amplifier with 8 JBL CSS8004 4" ceiling speakers, built for a restaurant, bar, or cafe that needs light background music and paging spread across many zones rather than heavy output in a few spots. The CSMA240 runs eight mixer-channel inputs into two output channels at up to 40W, drives 4 ohm or 8 ohm loads directly, and steps up to 70V or 100V distributed lines through its built-in Hi-Z switch, so no separate line transformer is needed to wire this many speakers together.

Each CSS8004 carries a 100mm dual-cone driver at 90 dB sensitivity with a wide 175-degree coverage pattern, well suited to spreading even sound across small rooms, hallways, and individual booths. Every speaker taps independently at 5W, 2.5W, or 1.3W, which is what makes a run of 8 speakers workable off one amplifier: split them across the two channels and dial each tap down to stay near 32W per channel rather than overdriving the CSMA240. Bare-wire connections and a bolt-on backcan mount keep the physical install simple, and the amplifier's sleep mode and voice-activated ducking handle the rest once the system is running.
