CSMA240 [Open Box]

The JBL CSMA240 is an 8-input, 2-output mixer-amplifier built for restaurants, bars, and cafes that need to combine several sources into one 4 ohm, 8 ohm, 70V, or 100V distributed sound system. A Hi-Z switch brings in the built-in output transformer so the unit powers 70V or 100V speaker lines directly, with no separate step-up transformer needed, while the standard low-impedance output handles 4 or 8 ohm speakers just as easily. Independent bass and treble controls for each output channel, plus individual input level knobs, sit on an illuminated front panel that stays readable in a dim room.

Voice-activated ducking on channels one and five automatically lowers background music when someone speaks into a paging microphone, and priority muting on the same channels can override every other input for urgent announcements. A sleep mode powers the unit down after roughly 30 minutes without signal and wakes automatically when audio returns, cutting standby energy use without any manual switching. Two auxiliary outputs let you feed additional amplifiers from the same mix, and RJ45 connectors support an optional JBL CSR-V wall volume controller. Built on Crown’s DriveCore technology and HARMAN’s GreenEdge environmental standards, the CSMA240 is designed to run continuously as the front end of a larger commercial audio system.
