CSMA280 [Open Box]

The JBL CSMA280 is an 8-input, 2-output commercial mixer/amplifier built for restaurants, retail stores, and offices that already have speakers picked out and just need power behind them. It reaches 80W of peak output at 10W continuous per channel, and it drives 4 ohm or 8 ohm loads directly or steps up to 70V or 100V distributed lines through a built-in Hi-Z switch, so a separate line transformer is not part of the install. Euroblock connections handle mic and line inputs on the back panel, unbalanced RCA inputs cover consumer sources, and two RJ45 ports connect optional CSR-V in-wall volume controls for room-by-room adjustment.

Day-to-day operation stays simple: illuminated front-panel volume knobs for each channel, independent bass and treble per output, and a power switch that is easy to find in a dim back-of-house closet. Voice-activated ducking on channels one and five automatically lowers background music for a page, priority muting silences other channels for an announcement, and a sleep mode drops the unit into standby after 30 minutes without signal, then wakes on its own. Two auxiliary outputs let you feed the same mix to a second amplifier if the space grows. It is a straightforward way to add paging and background music power to a room already wired for 70V or 100V speakers.
