Pair JBL CONTROL 68HP-WH High-Power 70v Commercial 8" White Pendant Speakers

The JBL Control 68HP is a two-way pendant loudspeaker for rooms with open ceilings, sold here as a pair in white. It hangs where a ceiling speaker cannot go: exposed structure in retail floors, fitness centers, restaurants, convention halls, atriums, museums, conference rooms and transit spaces.

Each speaker uses a coaxial layout with a 209 mm (8-inch) Kevlar-reinforced woofer on a 2-inch voice coil and a 25 mm (1-inch) titanium-dome compression driver. Power handling reaches 250W continuous pink noise with 1,000W peak, producing 114 dB continuous and 120 dB peak SPL. Frequency range runs 52 Hz to 17 kHz.

Coverage is a constant-directivity 110 degree conical pattern, which stays consistent across frequency. Wider, steadier coverage means fewer speakers to cover the same floor area, cutting both hardware count and labor on a distributed system.

A 68W multi-tap transformer covers 70V and 100V distributed lines, with taps at 68W, 34W, 17W and 8.5W on 70V, and the speaker switches to direct 8-ohm operation when needed. Two removable locking euro-block connectors handle input and loop-thru for bare wire up to 12 AWG.

Each speaker ships with two complete hanging cable systems providing main and safety suspension. Height adjusts anywhere along 4.5 m of high-tensile galvanized steel wire rope using spring clips and UL listed cable fasteners. Speaker and cable system are both UL listed. Net weight is 16.5 lb each.
