JBL COL800-BK 32" Black 70V Commercial Slim Column Wall Mount Array Speaker

The JBL COL800 is a 32-inch slim column loudspeaker in black for larger rooms that still need the speaker to stay visually quiet. Four 5 x 2.25-inch racetrack woofers and two 0.8-inch tweeters give it roughly twice the driver complement of the 24-inch model, with 150W continuous pink noise handling, 600W peak and 116 dB peak SPL.

The longer column tightens vertical coverage to 60 degrees while keeping 160 degrees horizontally. That narrow vertical pattern puts energy on listeners rather than the ceiling and floor, which raises intelligibility in reverberant spaces such as lecture halls, concourses and atriums. Ten degrees of down-tilt are built into the aim, so the cabinet mounts flat to the wall and still covers the seats.

Dual tweeters sit near the top of the array for an unobstructed path to the back of the room, and frequency range runs 85 Hz to 20 kHz. A 60W multi-tap transformer covers 70V and 100V lines with taps at 60W, 30W, 15W and 7.5W, plus a switch for direct 8-ohm operation.

Cabinet depth is 3.7 inches, which qualifies for ADA projects when mounted flush. Two L-brackets fit the top and bottom or the left and right panels, and a low-profile swivel and tilt wall bracket adds up to 10 degrees more down-tilt. An IP54 rating with water-treated drivers and an included terminal rain cover covers exposed locations. Net weight is 11.5 lb.
