Product Description
High sensitivity is the practical story here. At 98 dB, the cabinet gets loud on modest amplifier power, so a 250W to 500W per channel amplifier drives it to full output without strain.
The low-frequency driver is a JBL M112-8 with a 64 mm edge-wound ribbon voice coil, matched to a JBL 2414H-C 1-inch polymer diaphragm compression driver on a Progressive Transition waveguide for consistent coverage across the pattern. The crossover uses high-voltage capacitors and inductors with heavy gauge wire, and SonicGuard protects the compression driver from excess power without cutting the show short.
The enclosure is 19 mm MDF with non-resonant all-steel handles and an 18-gauge hexagon perforated steel grille. A dual-angle pole-mount socket lets the cabinet tilt 10 degrees when stand mounted. Input is a Neutrik Speakon NL-4 plus a parallel 1/4-inch TS jack. Weight is 43 lb.
Features
-
Loud On Modest Amplifier Power
A sensitivity rating of 98 dB means a 250W to 500W per channel amplifier reaches full 128 dB output without pushing the amp into clipping.
-
Consistent Coverage Across The Room
The 2414H-C compression driver sits on a Progressive Transition waveguide, holding a steady 90 by 50 degree pattern instead of narrowing at high frequencies.
-
Protection That Does Not Interrupt
SonicGuard limits excess power reaching the high-frequency driver without muting the system, so a hot signal does not stop the show.
-
Built For Load-In And Load-Out
A 19 mm MDF enclosure, non-resonant all-steel handles and an 18-gauge perforated steel grille hold up to repeated transport at 43 lb.
-
Two Ways To Connect
A Neutrik Speakon NL-4 connector and a parallel 1/4-inch TS jack cover both modern amplifier racks and older cable inventories.
