The JBL JRX215 is a passive 15-inch two-way loudspeaker for bands, mobile DJs and rental inventory running outboard amplification. It handles 250W RMS and 1,000W peak at 8 ohms, reaching 129 dB max SPL with 99 dB sensitivity, and extends down to 41 Hz in a 90 by 50 degree pattern.

The 15-inch format is the reason to pick this over the 12-inch cabinet: low-frequency extension to 41 Hz carries kick and bass in rooms where a smaller woofer starts to thin out. High 99 dB sensitivity means a 250W to 500W per channel amplifier reaches full output.

The low-frequency driver is a JBL M115-8A with a 64 mm edge-wound ribbon voice coil, paired with a JBL 2414H-C 1-inch polymer diaphragm compression driver on a Progressive Transition waveguide. The crossover uses high-voltage capacitors and heavy gauge inductors, and SonicGuard shields the compression driver from excess power without interrupting the performance.

The enclosure is 19 mm MDF with non-resonant all-steel handles and an 18-gauge hexagon perforated steel grille. A 36 mm dual-angle pole-mount socket allows a 10 degree tilt on a stand. Inputs are a parallel Neutrik Speakon NL-4 and a 1/4-inch TS jack. Weight is 60.5 lb.
