The JBL LSR310S extends any studio monitor system's low end with a custom 10-inch down-firing driver, a 200W Class D amplifier, and JBL's patented Slip Stream port, which is tuned to deliver deep, dynamic bass at all playback levels. An XLF Extended Low Frequency setting, a JBL first, emulates the augmented bass tuning used in dance clubs, giving producers a reference point for how a track will translate on a big system. Frequency extension reaches down to 27 Hz with a max peak output of 113 dB, handled without strain by the high-excursion driver.

Balanced XLR and 1/4-inch inputs plus XLR outputs let the LSR310S slot into an existing monitor chain or serve as the .1 LFE channel in a surround setup, and a -10dBV/+4dBu sensitivity switch keeps it compatible with both consumer and professional gear. Three crossover settings, including an 80 Hz preset tuned for JBL's LSR305 and LSR308 monitors plus an external option, and a detented volume control make it straightforward to balance the sub against existing monitors. It's a practical low-end upgrade for producers, mix engineers, and project studios that need more bottom end than a pair of near-fields can deliver alone.
