Product Description

The JBL SRX906LA is a compact two-way active line array element for small to midsize systems: rental work, touring support, club and DJ rigs, and permanent installations. Dual 6.5-inch neodymium woofers and a 1.5-inch exit compression driver with a 3-inch voice coil produce 134 dB maximum peak output across a 63 Hz to 17 kHz array preset range, with 120 degrees of nominal horizontal coverage.

The acoustic design comes from JBL's Radiation Boundary Integrator, adapted from the VTX Series. Both the high and low frequency transducers mount on a single horn, which improves horizontal directivity while shrinking the cabinet. Low frequency projection apertures sit precisely alongside the high frequency horn so the three symmetrically mounted drivers integrate as one source, and the unusually large horn extends pattern control lower while reducing energy thrown behind the array.

Amplification and processing are built in. A two-channel Class D amplifier delivers 600 watts continuous and 880 watts peak, and the onboard DSP includes 24 user-adjustable filters, 2,000 ms of delay, Array Size Compensation, and FIR-based Throw Distance Correction. That means the same box performs consistently on any voltage anywhere in the world with no outboard rack to configure.

Inputs are balanced line level on two Neutrik XLR connectors wired in and out, with +6 dBu nominal sensitivity, 21 dBu maximum input level, and 100 kilohm input impedance. Cooling runs by convection through an external aluminum heat sink with an internal on-demand fan.

The FEA-optimized composite enclosure uses CAD-optimized stiffeners to control flexing, giving a rigid, light cabinet with enclosed side panels and integrated handles. A three-point rigging system, array frames, base plates, and flight cases let a system start small and grow. JBL Performance software runs on Windows, macOS, and iPadOS.

Features

    • One Horn, One Source

JBL Radiation Boundary Integrator technology mounts the high and low frequency drivers on a single horn, tightening horizontal directivity in a smaller cabinet.

    • Output From A Small Box

Dual 6.5-inch neodymium woofers and a 3-inch voice coil compression driver reach 134 dB peak, covering rooms that usually demand larger elements.

    • No Amp Rack To Haul

Built-in two-channel Class D amplification rated 600 watts continuous runs on a universal supply, so the system performs the same on any voltage.

    • Tuning For The Actual Array

DSP includes 24 filters, 2,000 ms of delay, Array Size Compensation, and FIR throw distance correction to match the box to the hang you built.

    • Light Cabinet, Rigid Structure

An FEA-optimized composite enclosure with CAD-optimized internal stiffeners controls flexing, giving a rigid cabinet that stays light enough for faster rigging and denser truck packing.
