JBL VRX928LA 8" 400 Watt 2-Way Passive Line-Array Speaker in Black

The VRX928LA is a compact 8-inch two-way passive line array cabinet weighing 28 lb, designed to fly in arrays of up to six units. It fits the gap between a point-source box and a full touring array: rooms that need line array behavior and even front-to-back coverage, but not the long throw of a large-format system. The Constant Curvature waveguide mounts two compression drivers on a continuous arc, and that arc keeps going as cabinets are added, so the drivers across an array work together as though they were one driver on a very long waveguide. With two HF drivers per box, combined power handling and acoustic output run well past what a single driver could produce. Amplitude shading switches on each enclosure set the output of that box's high-frequency section, letting the top cabinet cover the back of the room while lower boxes are pulled back so front rows are not overloaded. An 8-inch Differential Drive woofer keeps weight low without giving up power capacity. Coverage is 100 by 15 degrees nominal per unit, crossover is switchable between passive and bi-amp at 2.0 kHz, and inputs are dual Speakon NL-4. Integral rigging hardware locks cabinets together, and a dual-angle pole socket allows stand mounting for smaller setups.
