KW-M180BT

The KW-M180BT is a double-DIN digital media receiver with a 6.8-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen. Capacitive glass responds to light contact, so track changes and menu taps register the first time instead of needing a firm press.

Android owners get USB mirroring. Install the free Mirroring for JVC app, connect over Bluetooth and USB, and the phone screen appears on the receiver with touch control from either side. Map, music, and video apps all run on the larger display. Fast bootup brings the unit up shortly after the ignition turns, so you are not watching a logo at the end of the block.

Playback covers MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, and FLAC audio plus MPEG 1/2, MPEG-4, H.264, and MKV video from USB. Power is 45W x 4 maximum, with a 13-band graphic EQ, 7 presets plus 3 user slots, bass boost, high- and low-pass filters, and time alignment for shaping the sound around the seat you use.

Three pairs of 2V preamp outputs cover front, rear, and subwoofer, so a fully amplified build stays on the table. A rear view camera input accepts an optional camera for backing up and towing, and an AV input with RCA video output handles additional sources. Bluetooth supports hands-free calls with HFP 1.6 wideband speech, phonebook access, voice dialing, and AVRCP song browsing.

The short 75mm chassis simplifies installs where depth is limited, factory steering wheel controls carry over with a third-party adapter (sold separately), and the RM-RK258 remote is available separately.
