Because the KMF104 is a free-air design, it mounts directly into an existing cavity such as a boat's transom or under-deck space, using an injection-molded polypropylene cone, a co-molded Santoprene surround, and a rear gasket that seals against moisture without needing a sealed or ported box. Stainless mounting hardware and a protective terminal cap add long-term corrosion resistance in a marine environment. Power comes from the dBM12, a mono Class D amplifier rated at 2000 watts peak and 500 watts Dyno-Certified RMS at 2 ohms, built with a conformal-coated circuit board, waterproof silicone terminal covers, and a rustproof aluminum heat sink. An included bass remote lets you adjust low end from the dash instead of reaching for the amp itself. The RMWK4 wire kit rounds out the install with waterproof 4-gauge power and ground cable, RCA cable, speaker wire, remote wire, and a fused mini-ANL fuse holder, covering the full run from battery to amplifier to subwoofer.
