The Kicker 43CVT102 CompVT 10-inch subwoofer is built for vehicles where a standard-depth sub simply will not fit. A specially engineered motor and reinforced cone deliver big bass from a shallow-mount design, with a top-mount depth of just 4-1/4 inches, and an included clearance plate lets it recess further into a thin enclosure wall when space is even tighter. Full perimeter venting and Kicker's UniPlate black plate and pole piece keep the compact motor structure cool under power. A four-layer voice coil handles serious current without the bulk of a standard subwoofer, supporting 800W peak and 400W RMS at 2 ohms, with a recommended amplifier range around 400W. The dark gray modified-spoke cone and double-stitched Santoprene surround are tuned for clear, accurate bass response, and special spring-loaded binding posts help minimize overall mounting depth.
