The Kicker 43DC122 is a loaded enclosure that pairs a pair of 12-inch Comp subwoofers with a custom-built vented box, so there is no separate enclosure to buy or subwoofers to wire in yourself. Each driver uses an injection-molded SoloKon cone, an optimized polyfoam ribbed surround, and 360-degree back bracing to keep the cone rigid and distortion under control, while a single high-temperature voice coil per driver and a 45-ounce magnet structure support 600W peak and 300W RMS combined at 2 ohms. Recommended power runs from 100 to 300W RMS, putting it within reach of a mid-size mono amplifier. Sensitivity is rated at 95 dB, which is high enough to get real output without maxing out an amplifier, and frequency response spans 30 to 500 Hz. The enclosure itself is built from 3/4-inch MDF and wrapped in heavy-duty black carpeting, with an embroidered Kicker logo and a monogrammed carbon fiber front panel for a finished look.
