6x8" Front Factory Speaker Replacement Kit For 1998-2001 Ford Explorer

This kit replaces the front speakers on a 1998 to 2001 Ford Explorer with a pair of Kicker 43DSC6804 6x8-inch coaxial speakers, a set of METRA 82-5600 mounting brackets, and a METRA 72-5512 wire harness, covering both the mechanical fit and the electrical connection in one order. Each speaker handles 200W peak (50W RMS) power on a 10 to 50W RMS recommended range, with a ribbed UV-treated foam surround and EVC (Extended Voice Coil) technology that deliver deeper bass than the factory 5.25-inch driver could produce. The METRA brackets adapt the factory 5.25-inch mounting location to accept the larger 6x8-inch speaker, and the METRA harness plugs into the factory wiring so there's no cutting or splicing.
