The Kicker L7S102 uses the Solo-Baric line's cutting-edge square-sub design, which packs more cone area, air displacement, and volume into the same mounting footprint as a round woofer. An injection-molded polypropylene cone with patented corner ribs minimizes distortion at the corners of the square shape, while SoloKon 360-degree back bracing keeps the whole cone rigid under hard use. A ribbed Santoprene surround with blue surround stitching protects the cone edge, and a UniPlate back plate and pole piece add perimeter venting for effective thermal management under sustained power.

Dual 2-ohm voice coils give installers flexibility in wiring configurations, and thick tinsel leads plus a large ceramic magnet support consistent output. A cast aluminum basket and satin-nickel plated, spring-loaded speaker terminals round out the build. The subwoofer works best in a sealed or ported enclosure and handles up to 1200 watts peak and 600 watts RMS, with a 24 to 100 Hz frequency response and 86.8 dB sensitivity, giving builders a bare subwoofer to drop into their own enclosure.
