The CXA400.1 is a compact mono Class D amplifier rated at 400 W RMS into 1 ohm, 300 W into 2 ohms, and 150 W into 4 ohms. It is sized for a single 10 or 12-inch subwoofer or a loaded enclosure, and its 8-1/8 inch chassis fits where a larger amplifier will not.

One-ohm stability is the practical advantage here. A dual voice coil subwoofer can be wired for its lowest load and take the amplifier's full output, rather than leaving power on the table because the amp bottoms out at 2 ohms.

Tuning is handled on board: a variable 12 dB low-pass crossover from 50 Hz to 200 Hz, a 24 dB subsonic filter at 25 Hz, and KickEQ variable bass boost of up to 6 dB at 40 Hz. The optional CXARC remote moves that boost control to the dash. Full-range RCA pass-through outputs let you add a second amplifier for door speakers later without splitting signal externally.

Speaker-level inputs accept up to 40 volts, so a factory head unit with no RCA outputs connects directly and a line-out converter stays out of the signal path. FIT+ Fail-safe Integration Technology-PLUS keeps that connection clean.
