The CXARC is a remote bass level controller that puts subwoofer output on a knob within reach of the driver's seat. It works with any KICKER CX, CXA, DX, or PX amplifier fitted with a remote bass jack, which covers the CX and CXA mono amplifiers and the multichannel models with a bass channel.

The reason to add one is practical. Subwoofer level that sounds right on a quiet street is too much on a highway and not enough with the windows down. Rather than setting a compromise gain at install and living with it, the CXARC lets you adjust bass level as conditions change, without pulling over or reaching into the trunk.

Installation is surface mount with the included screws, so it can go on the side of a center console, under the dash, or on a bracket near the shifter. The housing is compact at 4.75 by 3.5 by 1.25 inches, and the whole unit weighs 0.3 lb, so mounting options are wide open.

On amplifiers with KickEQ, the control adjusts the variable bass boost of up to 6 dB at 40 Hz. Connect it to the amplifier's remote bass jack and the system is ready. It is the accessory most people add after the fact, and the one most wish they had wired in during the original install.
