Product Description

The Kicker KISLOC2 is a stereo line-output converter that takes factory speaker-level output and hands an aftermarket amplifier the RCA signal it needs. The added 12-volt turn-on lead is what separates it from a basic converter: factory radios rarely offer a remote turn-on wire, and without one the amplifier has no reliable signal telling it when to power up. The KISLOC2 supplies that lead, so the amplifier switches on and off with the head unit instead of relying on a workaround tapped from an accessory circuit. It is compatible with OEM radios that use short-circuit protection, taking as much as 55 W of speaker-level input and delivering up to 8 volts of output. That output level is high enough to reach the input sensitivity of most amplifiers with the gain set conservatively, which keeps the noise floor low. The converter is sonically neutral, passing what the radio sends without adding coloration, and it does it in a very small footprint that hides behind a dash panel or rides on the factory harness. Use it when you are keeping the stock radio and adding a two-channel amplifier, a monoblock for a subwoofer, or a small system amplifier in a truck or daily driver.

Features

    • Turn-On Signal Solved

The built-in 12-volt lead gives the amplifier a proper turn-on trigger, so it powers up and shuts down with the radio instead of an accessory-circuit workaround.

    • Amplifier Signal From A Stock Radio

Speaker-level input converts to RCA output, giving an aftermarket amplifier the low-level feed a factory head unit was never built to supply.

    • Output With Headroom

Up to 8 volts of output reaches the input sensitivity of most amplifiers with the gain set low, which keeps the system noise floor down.

    • Handles High-Power Inputs

Accepting as much as 55 W of speaker-level input means it works on factory systems with more output than a basic head unit provides.

    • Small Enough To Disappear

The compact body tucks behind a dash panel or rides along the factory harness, leaving nothing visible once the interior trim goes back on.
