Product Description

The Kicker 46L7T124 is a 12-inch Solo-Baric L7T square subwoofer built around a 4-1/8 in (10.5 cm) mounting depth, so it fits behind a seat, under a rear bench, or in a shallow downfire box where a standard driver will not clear. Dual 4-ohm voice coils give you wiring options with a mono amplifier, and the driver handles 600 W RMS with a 1200 W peak rating. The square cone is the point. It puts roughly 20 percent more cone area in the same mounting footprint as a round 12-inch sub, which means more air moved per stroke and more output from the same box volume. SoloKon technology molds the injection-molded polypropylene cone and its 360-degree back bracing as a single solid unit, which stiffens the cone against flex and pulls heat away from the motor at the same time. Patented ribbed corners in the high-roll Santoprene surround let the cone travel hard under high SPL without binding, and the cone is stitched to the surround for a mechanical bond that holds together under sustained output. Underneath, a UniPlate solid pole piece and backplate move heat out of the voice coil, and a bumped top plate opens up excursion. The basket is durable steel. Sealed or ported both work: 0.55 to 1.25 cu ft sealed or 1.75 to 2.25 cu ft vented. Pair it with a KX-Series mono amplifier and you get real low end in a space that used to be unusable.

Features

    • Thin Where It Counts

A 4-1/8 in (10.5 cm) mounting depth opens up locations a standard subwoofer cannot use, including behind a truck seat, under a rear bench, or in a shallow downfire box.

    • More Cone, Same Hole

The square Solo-Baric design puts roughly 20 percent more cone area in the same footprint as a round driver, so each stroke moves noticeably more air.

    • Cone That Stays Rigid

SoloKon technology molds the polypropylene cone and 360-degree back bracing as one solid unit, resisting flex under load while pulling heat away from the motor.

    • Built To Take Excursion

Patented ribbed corners in the high-roll Santoprene surround let the cone travel hard under high SPL, and stitching bonds the cone to the surround mechanically.

    • Heat Handled

A UniPlate solid pole piece and backplate move heat out of the voice coil while a bumped top plate opens up excursion for sustained output.
