The KICKER KEY500.1 is a mono subwoofer amplifier with an audio processor built in. Using KICKER test tones, the amplifier analyzes the incoming signal, corrects peaks in that signal and restores the low bass that factory systems usually roll off. The result is even bass response across the low end without an outboard processor or hours of manual tuning.

Power output is 500W at 1 ohm, 300W at 2 ohms and 150W at 4 ohms, so it drives a single subwoofer or a pair wired to a low impedance load. Controls include 24dB sub-sonic and low-pass crossovers, bass boost and gain, giving you direct say over how deep the system plays and how hard it hits.

FIT 2+ (Fail-safe Integration Technology 2 PLUS) accepts factory input signals as high as 40 volts, along with low level inputs from 125mV to 5V. That covers stock systems with amplified outputs as well as aftermarket head units, so the amplifier works in almost any vehicle without an added line-output converter.

The chassis measures about eight inches long and less than two inches tall, so it mounts behind the glove box, under a seat or in the trunk. It works with KICKER subwoofers up to 12 inches.
