The KICKER KEYLOC is a DSP-controlled line-output converter that turns factory speaker wire into a clean signal for aftermarket amplifiers. Its KEY algorithm detects and analyzes the crossovers, EQ, time delay and all-pass filters your stock stereo applies, level-matches the left and right channels, and corrects those filters so the signal reaching your amplifier is flat and uncolored.

You can hear the difference for yourself: one press of the KEY button cycles the correction on and off. If KEYLOC detects factory time delay or all-pass filters, you can leave the correction off from the menu and keep the factory imaging, or leave it on and let an external processor handle the final tune.

Factory systems do not always send full-range audio down every speaker wire. Connect the factory wires to the KEYLOC input, play the recommended test tones, and the LEDs show which frequencies that pair actually carries: low 20-200Hz, mid 200Hz-2kHz or high 2k-20kHz. No guessing which wire to tap.

FIT 2+ gives KEYLOC wide input sensitivity, from 125mV to 10V on low level with a 60-ohm smart load, or 1V to 40V on high level, plus 10V RMS output per channel. At 5-1/2 inches long, it mounts behind the dash and out of the way.
