Product Description

The KICKER KMDB3 is a ground distribution block built specifically for boats. A multi-amplifier system needs one solid, common ground point, and a block designed for a car interior is the wrong tool in an environment with salt, spray and constant vibration.

The KMDB3 accepts three ground wires, so up to three amplifiers share a single clean path back to the battery negative. That keeps ground loops and the noise they cause out of the system, and it makes the install easier to trace later when you add or service a component.

It is compliant with Coast Guard and ABYC standards, which matters for insurance, resale and new boat construction. Pair it with KICKER RT-Series ring terminals for the tightest, lowest-resistance connection at every wire.

It is a small part of a marine audio system, but grounding is where most noise problems start. Doing it once, with hardware made for the water, saves the chase later.

Features

    • One Clean Ground Point

Three ground connections let a multi-amplifier system share a single path to battery negative, which is the simplest way to keep ground loop noise out.

    • Made For The Water

This block was designed for marine use from the start rather than borrowed from car audio, so it holds up to salt, spray and constant vibration.

    • Meets The Standards

Compliance with Coast Guard and ABYC requirements means it is safe for new boat construction and will not raise questions at survey or resale.

    • Tighter Connections

Using KICKER RT-Series ring terminals gives each wire maximum contact area and the lowest resistance path your amplifiers can get.

    • Easier To Service

Terminating all grounds at one labeled block makes it far quicker to trace, test or add a component months after the install.
