The KICKER KMW16400 is a 400-foot spool of 16-gauge marine speaker wire, sized for a full boat build or a shop that runs several installs from one roll.

The conductor is pure full-spec OFC copper tinned in anti-corrosive nickel. Tinning is the part that matters in a marine environment: bare copper wicks moisture and turns green at the ends, and a green strand is a strand that no longer carries current. The nickel plating keeps the conductor intact behind the panel where you will not see it fail.

The jacketing is soft and flexible, so the cable pulls around corners, through rigging tubes and under gunwales without fighting you. On a boat, where speaker runs go through more turns than any car install, that flexibility saves real time.

The wire is compliant with Coast Guard and ABYC standards, which makes it appropriate for new boat construction as well as retrofits. At 400 feet, one spool typically covers a full tower, in-boat and transom speaker layout with cable left over.
