The KICKER CompRT 12-inch subwoofer is a shallow-mount sub for vehicles where depth is the limiting factor. At 3-3/4 in of mounting depth, it fits under a seat, behind a back bench, or in a factory sub location that a standard woofer will never clear. Dual 2-ohm voice coils give you wiring options and handle 500W RMS, with 1000W peak power and 85.5 dB sensitivity at 1W/1m.

A UV-resistant cone and surround hold up in open cabs and vehicles that sit in direct sun. A thick magnet structure carries the power handling without adding mounting depth, and the UniPlate back plate and solid pole piece act as a single heat-absorbing unit for thermal management. SoloKon technology joins the cone to a vented back brace, creating one integrated unit that cools the motor and holds distortion down. Forced-Air Cooling runs the sub about 20 percent cooler than the previous generation.

The CompRT 12 works best in a sealed enclosure between 0.55 and 2.0 cu ft, which is a realistic box size for a truck cab, an SUV cargo floor, or a spare-tire well. Specs for a 1.75 to 2.25 cu ft ported box are listed if you would rather trade some control for output. The cutout is 11 in, so the footprint stays reasonable even where the depth is not.

Pair it with an amplifier rated near 500W RMS and you get low end that sounds like a full-size sub from a space most people write off as unusable.
