The KXMA500.4 is built for the outdoors, and its layout shows it. Gain, crossover and bass boost controls hide behind a gasket-sealed panel with a cover over the settings, creating a water-resistant barrier around every adjustment you make.

Power comes from a Class D design rated 125W per channel at 2 ohms, 75W per channel at 4 ohms, or 250W per channel bridged into two channels, with 700W of dynamic power. Four channels covers a pair of cockpit speakers and a pair of tower or bow speakers from one chassis.

The two amp sections tune independently. Amp 1 runs a 24dB/octave crossover variable from 10Hz to 5kHz with a 10x switch and selectable high pass, low pass or all pass. Amp 2 adds band pass capability and KickEQ variable bass boost up to 6dB centered at 40Hz, so it can handle a subwoofer pair while amp 1 stays full range.

A DSP-controlled preamp, FIT2 circuitry and a Gain Match LED indicator take the guesswork out of setup. The black anodized aluminum chassis measures 2-1/8" x 8-5/16" x 11-3/16", uses conformal-coated boards and ABYC/NMMA-compliant terminals, and ships with stainless-steel mounting hardware.
