Product Description

The 4-ohm version of the CompC 12-Inch Loaded Enclosure exists for one practical reason: plenty of amplifiers are rated at 4 ohms, and running two of these boxes in parallel gets you to a 2-ohm load without rewiring anything. Otherwise it is the same package, a genuine CompC 12-inch subwoofer in a factory-tuned ported cabinet.

The custom port is tuned to 30 Hz for sustained low-frequency output, sensitivity measures 95.3 dB, recommended amplifier power is 300 W RMS, and peak handling reaches 600 W per ANSI/CTA-2031-A. A CXA400.1 is the matched amplifier for a single box.

The cabinet is heavy MDF, 20 inches wide by 16 inches tall, with a wedge profile 11-3/8 inches deep at the top and 14-1/2 inches at the bottom. It leans against a trunk wall or rear seat back and uses very little of the space around it, which keeps a sedan trunk usable for luggage and groceries.

Thick black carpet with an embroidered KICKER logo protects the cabinet from scuffs and gives the install a finished appearance with no extra fabrication. A single 4-ohm spring-loaded terminal accepts bare speaker wire, so connecting the amplifier takes minutes.
