The KICKER KSC270 is a pair of 2-3/4-inch mid-range tweeters made to fill the small factory speaker locations that most aftermarket speakers cannot reach: dash pods, sail panels, upper door corners and rear pillars. Rather than force a universal frame into a hole it was never made for, the KSC270 ships with three bracket sets cut for GM, Chrysler, Jeep, Subaru and Toyota factory openings.

Each driver covers 300Hz to 20kHz, so it handles vocals and upper midrange along with the top end. That fills the gap left when a factory dash speaker fails and the rest of the system suddenly sounds like it is coming from the floor. Rated power is 15 to 50W RMS at 85 dB sensitivity, which matches typical factory head unit output and works fine on a small amplifier channel.

Build details matter in these locations. UV-treated paper cones and rubber surrounds hold up to the sunlight that hits a dash pod all day. Top mount depth is 1-5/8 inches with a 3-1/16-inch mounting hole, so the pair sits behind factory grilles without pushing on trim. Included capacitors act as a high-pass, keeping low frequencies out of the small cones.

Wire harnesses, butt connectors, speed nuts, screws and adhesive for the flange all come in the box, so the install stays plug-in on supported vehicles. Use them as a direct replacement for failed factory dash or pillar speakers, or as the upper half of a front stage with larger woofers in the doors.
